Yahoo Lifestyle How Tombolo Dressed ‘The White Lotus’ Characters for Season Three
Tombolo and HBO’s “The White Lotus” reunited for the third season of the Emmy Award-winning series, crafting new costumes and pieces for the cast. While the New York City brand’s pieces have been featured previously in the first two seasons of “The White Lotus,” the third season offered an opportunity for the brand to design custom creations for the show’s characters.
Following the Season Three premiere on Sunday, audiences and fans got a glimpse of a few Tombolo pieces. The brand’s monkey business button-up collared shirt was worn by Blackpink’s Lisa in one of the opening scenes of the premiere episode.

Sam Nivola, who plays Lochlan Ratliff, was also seen wearing the reptile dysfunction button-up short sleeve shirt in the first episode of Season Three.
Members of Tombolo’s creative team worked closely with “The White Lotus” Emmy-nominated costume designer Alex Bovaird on wardrobe for the season.
“From the get-go, working together has felt really natural because both ‘The White Lotus’ and Tombolo have always blended escapism with self-aware humor,” a statement from the brand read.
“There’s so much overlap which makes for very fertile ground for creative collaboration. The partnership emerged organically and has grown from season to season as we have gotten to know each other better,” the brand’s statement continued.
For Season Three, members of the Tombolo team began planning in earnest to merge iconography from Thailand into their irreverent apparel. “We began the planning process much earlier with Alex and actually designed staff uniforms from the ground up based on her creative direction and color palette,” the brand’s statement read.
“Alex has been incredibly hands-on in guiding the process. We’ve seen her literally roll up her sleeves to achieve her perfect vision. For instance, when one uniform wasn’t appearing as quite the right shade when played back through the show’s color tinting, she overdyed it herself locally in Thailand.”
Chris Galasso and Michael Sard founded Tombolo in 2018. The apparel brand boasts “escape wear” pieces with airy designs. Tombolo recently launched a capsule collection inspired by “Saturday Night Live” to celebrate the variety show’s 50th anniversary.
