Roberts also shared one of Kotb’s photos on her Instagram, expressing how grateful she was to have all been brought together.

“Oh what a night! Power couple @debrobertsabc and @alroker host such a wonderful holiday party in their beautiful home,” she wrote. “Chance to reunite with dear friends. I’ve known @gayleking from our days way back when we both worked and lived in CT. And I’ve known @hodakotb since she worked at the same tv station with my big sis @sallyann_roberts back in the day in #NOLA! Truly blessed to share this precious time together. Happy Holidays to all! 😘”

On the Wednesday, Dec. 11 episode ofToday with Hoda & Jenna, hosted by Kotb and Bush Hager, the women recapped the night.

“We all went out on a school night to a party,” Kotb said. “Al Roker and Deborah had a holiday party.”

“You were really hanging on Harry,” she told Bush Hager, referring to her husband Henry Hager.

“I kissed Harry in one picture. Why didn’t you post it?” she replied playfully. “But anyway, but one of the things that Hoda said was that she stayed for the Giants game and it changed her. Now, I thought, ‘Is she really changed?’ Let’s go to a party and see how it happens.”

Bush Hager went on to poke fun at Kotb for leaving places early to go to sleep, but revealed she stayed the entire holiday party.

“Usually I have my little plan in my head, like your dad, my exit strategy, and I decided that on that day I wasn’t going to do that,” Kotb explained. “I was just going to enjoy the party and talk to people and have a drink and have fun and stop worrying about traffic and rain and all that junk.”

“I am very proud,” Bush Hager replied. “I’m here to say I didn’t believe it and she’s 100 percent changed. She was walking around. She was talking to people. Real conversations. She kissed somebody under the mistletoe. I’m just kidding — no she didn’t. That would have been funny. I kissed Harry. That was me that did that.”

The pair also joked about fighting over who was better friends with King.

“We both ran at Gayle and scared her together in a way that I’m sure she didn’t appreciate,” Bush Hager said with a laugh.

“She sort of looked a little freaked out,” Kotb said. “We were like, ‘You’re my friend. You’re my friend.’”

“‘Gayle, we’ve been fighting about you!’” Bush Hager added before Kotb continued, “And she was like this, ‘Ooook.’"

“She was like, ‘My friend is Oprah and there’s not room for you,’” Bush Hager teased.
