Tim McGraw Celebrates 20 Years of Friendship With Unsuspecting Celebrity in Then-And-Now Videos

Tim McGraw is marking a special occasion, and shouting out a longtime friend in the process.

The country crooner took to Instagram on Monday, Sept. 16 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of 2004-released hit song "Over and Over" by rapper Nelly. McGraw was featured on the song, joining forces to create what fans are calling "one of the best collaborations ever."

Now, two decades later, the "Something Like That" singer is looking back on the project, as he recently brought the "Hot In Herre" rapper out to perform it again with him once more, a nostalgic occasion that fans couldn't get enough of.

"Had a blast together back then…. Still having a blast!! Loved having @nelly come out and surprise the crowd in St. Louis this summer. We gotta do that again!" McGraw captioned his upload, which depicted then-and-now videos of the duo performing the musical selection.

In the comment section, fans and famous friends poured in with admiration for the timeless moment.

"Still so good!!!" Rita Wilson exclaimed, while one fan of the song wondered, "How is this 20 years!? 😢😂"

"I can never get tired of hearing this song. Both wonderful men!" a third person chimed in, as a fourth comment dubbed the fusion "One of the best collaborations ever and inspired artists in different genres to work together."

More sweet notes continued to pour in, with additional Instagram users in complete disbelief that so much time has passed, writing things like "Still a great song, can’t believe it’s been 20yrs," "This is still a regular in my playlist," and "❤️ love this duet! Can’t believe it’s 20 yrs ago."

Meanwhile, one called for the two artists to get back into the studio together, campaigning, "We need another one @thetimmcgraw @nelly 🔥."

All we have to say to that is, ball's in your court, Nelly and Tim!
