Yahoo Lifestyle TikTok user shares list of strange facts that will ‘ruin’ someone’s day: ‘You’re gonna wish I didn’t tell you’
A young woman is going viral on TikTok after sharing a list of strange-but-mostly-true facts.
The user, Lexi Slaven, shared the lesser-known info in a series of rapid-fire videos, which have received millions of views in total. In one clip, Slaven says that the weird and disappointing facts can “ruin” someone’s day.

“FACTS YOU’RE GOING TO WISH I DIDNT TELL YOU!” she captioned the video.
One of Slaven’s facts: Astronauts can’t cry in space. As it turns out, that’s basically true (due to the lack of gravity, their tears just ball up near their eyes).
Another strange one: Lighters were invented before matches. That one’s also true — it’s believed cigarette lighters were introduced in 1823, just a few years before matches.
Some of Slaven’s facts prove less mind-blowing, however. For example, she claims in one video that cheese is “actually terrible” for mice. That’s actually false, although it is true that the tiny rodents enjoy cheese a lot less than we might think.
Another disproven “fact” is Slaven’s claim that doctors are the “most likely” people to become serial killers. Several serial killers have held medical degrees, but it’s transient jobs like aircraft mechanic and shoemaker that appeal to murderers most.
Not all of Slaven’s facts are entirely true, but many are. For many TikTok users, that was enough.
“NOW I WONT BE ABLE TO SLEEP,” one user wrote.
“I KNEW MY MIND WAS WORKING A MINUTE AGO,” another added.
“The last one gave me the chills,” another wrote.
