'Tiger King's Joe Exotic Addresses Donald Trump's Recent Presidential Pardons

Joe Exotic is not feeling the love in the wake of Donald Trump's second inauguration.

The subject of the viral Netflix docuseries Tiger King, who has been vying for a presidential pardon for years, was not granted one during Trump's initial round of pardons earlier this week—years after he failed to make the cut at the end of The Apprentice alum's first term.

In an Instagram post uploaded shortly after his oversight, Joe, whose real name is Joseph Allen Maldonado, shared a black and white sketch of a person sitting in the rain, hugging their knees to their chest as water pooled on the ground underneath them.

"President Trump, you forgot me... again," the graphic read.

In the caption, the former zoo owner suggested that if he's been "a crack dealer" or "broke in the capital or even have been related to the Bidens," then his name might have been on Trump's list. "I might have gotten some relief on being in prison innocent."

Joe began serving time in Jan. 2020 for his murder-for-hire plot against animal rights activist Carole Baskin—which was documented in the streamer's take and later dramatized in Peacock's Joe vs Carole—as well as animal abuse charges.

While a federal judge resentenced him, his 22-year sentence was only adjusted to 21, despite his request for leniency after being diagnosed with stage one prostate cancer.

In 2022, he claimed his "amazing dear friend," 90 Day Fiancé alum Jesse Meester, was going to help his plea reach then-president Joe Biden, which was a follow-up effort after reaching out to Kim Kardashian during Trump's first administration, requesting she call on the then-president on his behalf during his final days in office.
