The best cordless stick vacuum we tested this year is $100 off for Prime Day

'Swivels like a dream': This Tineco wowed us with strong suction and easy maneuverability — get it at its lowest price of 2024.

One of the best ways to make cleaning less of a chore? Use the right tools. And when it comes to vacuums, we say leave that clunky, clumsy cleaner in the dust and upgrade to a cordless stick model. Specifically, the Tineco Pure One S11 Smart Stick, which home editor Kristin Granero named the best cordless stick vacuum for 2024. It's at its lowest price of the year for Amazon Prime Day.

Granero knows her stuff: She has reviewed dozens of vacuums for Yahoo and wrote that the S11 Smart Stick "hit the sweet spot in our testing for a sleek vacuum that offers solid performance, along with some snazzy features, at a competitive price." And now that this vac is 33% off (that's a $100 savings), we can't think of a better time to upgrade. Bring on the holiday hosting!

This nimble vac is one of our favorite tried-and-tested ways to refresh your cleaning routine.

Why is this a good Prime Day deal? 💰

Considering all the features packed into this lightweight vacuum — among them a HEPA filter, two power modes and an LCD screen that displays important reminders, such as when the filter needs swapping — it's already a solid deal at $300. Saving $100 makes it that much better, especially because our price trackers show that it's now at its lowest price of the year.

Why do I need this? 🤔

In addition to being lightweight (just 7 pounds) and incredibly quiet, this vacuum impressed us with its maneuverability and suction. As Granero put it, "It only took one pass to pick up [faux fur, sand, kitty litter, rice and cereal] from hardwood surfaces." It's also easy to maintain: "The dust cup is a cinch to pop open and offers 0.6 liters of space so you don't have to keep emptying it," she wrote.

Tineco promises 40 minutes of run time per charge, and Granero found that to be accurate, even after vacuuming several rooms, a staircase and curtains. She also noted that the narrow brush head fits under tight spaces and "swivels like a dream."

What reviewers say 💬

More than 3,500 Amazon shoppers have rated the Tineco Pure One S11 a flawless five stars.

Pros 👍

"I've had this vacuum for around six months or so and it is one of the best vacuums I've ever used for day-to-day cleaning," raved one fan. "It's light, cordless and automatically adjusts power depending on how much dirt is picked up in any individual location. You are also able to lock it at max suction, although I don't find I need to use that feature almost ever. These aspects make it very easy to use and handle. The readout on the screen is also intuitive."

One self-proclaimed "Dyson convert" wrote, "I've owned several Dysons and always thought they were great. Vacuums are expensive, and after being let down by other brands, I decided to stick with what I knew. Then, recently, I took a risk and tried this vacuum based on positive reviews, and I'm so glad I did! It's lighter weight, easier to empty, and the built-in light that illuminates the vacuum head is a game changer and my favorite feature."

Finally, this pet owner said: "Vacuums are a hard purchase because you’re balancing cost with durability. In that regard, I think Tineco puts out a great product for the money. We have had two Tineco vacuums over the last five years and they take a beating in our house. With a dog in the house we are vacuuming every day, twice a day and Tineco has been our favorite brand to work with."

Cons 👎

Not everyone was thrilled with the vacuum's performance on carpets and rugs, as this one reviewer wrote: "Doesn't do well on area rugs as there is no height adjustment for the power head or beater bar. Where it excels is on hardwoods, [luxury vinyl plank] and stone/tile."

Some other shoppers noted issues with the auto suction. "When the bin gets dusty, it sometimes thinks there is a lot of dirt being picked up, therefore causing it to go to max power. Not a huge deal, just need to wash out the bin every once in awhile," one wrote.

Handy! The S11 easily converts to a handheld vacuum when you change out the attachments.
