The $8 brooms that are beating vacuum cleaners

Kmart has done it again, delivering a bargain win for households everywhere, and we need one ASAP.

An $8 rubber broom is taking social media by storm, with its incredible results on carpets, outstripping top brand vacuum cleaners, which can retail for as much as $1000.

Saving $992, and getting cleaner floors? For users of the popular Facebook group Kmart Mums, it’s a big yes.

The page has exploded with rave reviews of the ‘Rubber Broom with Squeegee’ with images showing incredible results on carpets that have already been vacuumed.

One Facebook user, posted an image of the brooms results, recommending the bargain broom for pet owners.

“All this hair came out of our rug even though we had just vacuumed!” she remarked alongside the following image.

She also pointed out that the broom is multi-functional, and can be used on any surface.

“The rubber bristles remove all loose hairs from any fabric, so this can be used on couches and even bedding!” she said.

Another user also shared a photo of the brooms work on a vacuumed carpet.

“I just used the rubber broom in my hallway, that I vacuumed this morning!!” she wrote. “(I have a Dyson) I just can’t believe it!!”

We’re not sure if we’re excited to get our hands on one of these miracle workers, or horrified at how ineffective vacuum cleaners are beginning to look.

Facebook users are almost entirely converted, and clamouring to nab one of the brooms before they sell out.

“Just seeing evidence that a vacuum doesn’t pick up all the stuff.” wrote one user. “I’m getting this broom!”

“I’m a hairdresser and swear by them lol,” wrote one woman.

If you’re anything like me and shed hair everywhere you go, this broom could be the answer to your prayers.

The broom really is the gift that keeps on giving; it’s available online if you don’t have time to go to the shops.

I think it’s safe to say we are in broom heaven.

Between the rave reviews and the fact that you could conceivably pay in coins, this could be Kmart’s greatest win yet.

With the retail giant making waves with bargain bedding, and surprising fashion of late, this is one upward trajectory we should all be following.
