“Delivery Man,” which blends Korean cinema’s suspenseful pacing with Thailand’s signature storytelling approach, delves into the dark underbelly of stalker culture. The project comes from the directing duo Ornusa Donsawai and Pun Homchuen, who co-wrote the script with Kongkiat Komesiri.
Thavornsiri (known as Aim) takes the lead as Guy, a socially awkward food delivery worker who develops an obsession with one of his regular customers. The actor, who recently appeared in Netflix’s “Hunger” and “In Youth We Trust,” marks this as his first lead role.
Rising star Komalarajun (known as Junéi) steps into the role of Sai, an architect who becomes the target of Guy’s fixation. The actress, known for lighter fare like “OMG! Oh My Girl” and “Love Stuck,” is set to showcase a darker side in what’s being described as her most intense role to date.
Rounding out the central cast is Everingham as Sai’s husband, Dith. The veteran actor, who previously collaborated with co-writer Komesiri on the successful “Khun Pan” trilogy, brings his extensive horror experience to the project, having starred in genre classics like “Shutter.”
“We have found the right trifecta for ‘Delivery Man’ with Aim, Junéi and Ananda, who all will portray never-before-seen roles in their careers, which are not to be missed,” said Hans Audric Estialbo, CEO of Night Edge Pictures. The Bangkok-based company, which handles production, distribution, and sales, has previously distributed horror hits including “Terrifier 3” and “Talk to Me” in Thailand.
“Delivery Man” is scheduled to begin production in March, with a targeted release in early 2026.
EST Studios, founded in 2022 by Jaeson Ma and Eric Tu, focuses on representing diverse Asian stories in the international market. The company’s current slate includes a range of projects highlighting Asian filmmakers and stories, such as the Oscar-shortlisted documentary “Hidden Letters” and Toronto selection “K-Pops!”
N8, founded in 2023 by Kris Eiamsakulrat and Rachel Y. Wu, has been involved in notable Southeast Asian film projects, including co-producing the Thai horror hit “Home For Rent” and Bhutan’s Oscar submission “The Monk and The Gun.” Upcoming projects include “Heals,” a documentary produced in partnership with World of Wonder, and “A Useful Ghost,” a supernatural film directed by Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke.
