Texas Roadhouse's $40 Family Meal Goes Viral Thanks to a Mom on TikTok — Here's What You Need to Know

Texas Roadhouse confirmed to PEOPLE that the Family Pack can range in price from $40-$50 depending on location

A viral video is teaching Texas Roadhouse fans how to score a major meal without a major price tag.

Autumn Jackpot (known as @Autumnhitthejackpot on TikTok) walked her followers through what comes in the chain restaurant’s $45 Family Pack. Her video was shared in January but has noticed a resurgence recently.

The order comes with a full pan of a main dish, like pulled pork, sirloin steak or the chicken critters (Texas Roadhouse’s chicken tenders) that the TikToker chose. You can also pick two large portions of sides like mashed potatoes and green beans. Plus, a dozen rolls and a family-size house or Caesar salad comes with the meal deal. Of course, the beloved cinnamon butter, dipping sauces and gravy are included, too.

While Jackpot's version cost $45, a representative at Texas Roadhouse tells PEOPLE that the Family Pack pricing can range from $40-$50 depending on each restaurant location. The deal can be ordered online or in-person at eligible restaurants.

The menu hack video garnered more than 785,000 likes and the comments were flooded with praise for the quantity of food. “45 that’s it!?” one commenter wrote.

Other comments joked about how large the main dish portion is compared to the sides. “It's [sic] seems w the amount of chicken and rolls u wld get a larger amount of sides... seems like a good deal tho just disproportionate imo,” said one person.

Families dining on a budget can look to social media for other restaurant’s meal deals, like Leiela Kapewa-Latu’s TikTok about McDonald’s "dinner box."

In the video, she shared what was included in the $12 bundle box: two cheeseburgers, four small fries, 10-piece chicken nuggets, two Big Macs and sauces. It came packaged in a yellow and white striped box similar to the chain's Happy Meals.

“If you didn’t know, like we didn’t know, $12 gets you a dinner box. It’s not on the menu,” the mom said.

But not all McDonald’s locations’ serve dinner boxes for that price, according to commenters.

“This dinner box is $22 here in Ohio idk where it’s $12???” read one comment. Another follower from Nevada wrote, “In the Bundle Box Las Vegas comes with 2 Big Mac 2 Cheeseburgers 10pc Chix Nuggets 2 Medium Fries $14.99.”

McDonald’s confirmed with PEOPLE that franchises create their own prices and can set their own promotions that vary by restaurants. McDonald’s also confirmed that bundled deals like the viral boxes vary by location and are redeemable in the McDonald’s app.
