Taylor Swift's Grammy date likely won't be Travis Kelce as he prepares for Super Bowl 59

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce walking the Grammys red carpet Sunday would be a game changer for Swifties.

Swift could make history on Sunday with another album of the year win, breaking her previous record for the most-ever with four wins, and Kelce is heading to New Orleans as the Kansas City Chiefs seek to achieve a potential three-peat in this year's Super Bowl.

But Kelce likely won't attend Sunday's Grammys ceremony in Los Angeles as the Chiefs tight end – widely considered to be one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history – prepares, practices and answers questions about Super Bowl 59 from the media alongside his teammates.

Teams traditionally travel to the Super Bowl destination on the Sunday before the big game. Last year, the Chiefs landed in Las Vegas on Feb. 4, a week before Super Bowl 58 on Feb. 11.

This year, Swift is up for six awards including album of the year, and she is set to present at Sunday's ceremony.

The superstar's marketing team, Taylor Nation, shared the news on social media with a note, "Straight from The Tortured Poets Department, the Chairman will be reporting live from the #GRAMMYS."

Although Kelce likely won't be at this year's Grammys, Swift supported him at the Chiefs' AFC championship game on Jan. 25 and is expected to attend her boyfriend's Super Bowl game.

At last year's Grammys, as rain poured down on Los Angeles, Swift stunned in a strapless ivory gown on the red carpet sans Kelce, who was prepping for Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas. She walked the red carpet just minutes before the start of the show broadcast on CBS.

She accessorized a Schiaparelli Couture dress with long black gloves, multiple bejeweled necklaces, an elegant black choker with a clock and a cat eye sharp enough to kill a man. She wore her light brown hair down with a braid snaked along the side. The dress featured a corset back, and she wore black heels.

Swift posed with collaborator Lana Del Rey on the red carpet. The "Midnights" singer made history after winning album of the year for the fourth time.

Kelce's absence paid off as the Chiefs, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, won a second Super Bowl title in a row after a win in overtime.
