The “Cruel Summer” songstress took to the stage at the Rogers Centre for her sixth and final show in the Canadian city, getting visibly emotional during part of her set.
Swift received a standing ovation from the crowd after her performance of “Champagne Problems,” and took a moment to thank the audience for their support. “Toronto, we're at the very end of this tour so you doing that, you have no idea how much it means to me,” she shared.
“To my band, to my crew, to everybody who has put so much of this into this tour, I don’t even know what I’m saying anymore,” Swift continued, before admitting that she was “just having a bit of a moment” and wiping tears away from her face.
She then caught herself and laughed, remarking that “it’s not even the last show!” Swift then went on to acknowledge the team effort behind the international tour. “My band, my crew, all of my fellow performers, we have put so much of our lives into this. And you’ve put so much of your lives into being with us tonight, and to giving us that moment that we will never forget.”
Fans on social media were moved by Swift’s admission, with one X user declaring, “we made the right person famous.”
Swift’s final Eras Tours shows will take place across the country in Vancouver from Dec. 6-8.
