Taylor Swift's a Swag Surfer! All About the Chiefs Fun Game Day Dance
When 'Swag Surfin' plays at Arrowhead Stadium, the crowd and the Chiefs themselves get 'hype,' according to Travis Kelce
With every game day appearance, Taylor Swift becomes more of an official member of Chiefs kingdom.
The singer, 34, was in Kansas City on Saturday to support Travis Kelce and the Chiefs in the NFL playoffs, and she was not only sporting an iconic puffer jacket with Kelce’s number on it — she was also spotted getting into the spirit and joining the fans in a dance that’s become a ritual at Arrowhead Stadium.
When F.L.Y.’s “Swag Surfin’” plays on the Chiefs home turf, an official dance break commences. Fans begin to sway from side to side as the rap song plays, and Swift joined in on the fun on Saturday as she swayed in time with the song and the massive crowd. Brittany Mahomes and Travis’ mom, Donna Kelce, flanked the singer and were also swag surfin’ as they watched the Chiefs blowout the Miami Dolphins 26-7.
Fans were loving how into the spirit Swift got during the game, and the official Sunday Night Football account shared a video of her dancing alongside Donna, 71, and Brittany, 28, as fans in front of their suite looked on and videotaped the fun moment. The NFL shared a clip of the dance break, too.

In an episode of Travis’ podcast with his brother, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, from earlier this month, the tight end called the song “a classic” for the team as he revealed that it's been played at Arrowhead Stadium to hype up fans ever since he joined the team in 2013.
When Jason, 36, asked about the significance of the song, Travis said it's "a huge fourth quarter, big time moment," and is often played in time with an important defensive drive. "They play a highlight video that has 'Swag Surfin' on it as the song and it gets everybody hype."
In the episode, the brothers discussed a video from the Chiefs New Year’s Eve game where linebacker Willie Gay Jr. suggested the song play to get the crowd excited, and once it did, he and his teammates started dancing on the sidelines along with the attendees in the stands, and the mood was immediately lifted. In the clip, shared on the team’s Instagram, Gay told the cameraman, “Pass the word up and tell them to play ‘swag surf.’ We really need that.”

Despite the below-freezing temperatures in Kansas City on Saturday night, Swift was in great form and having fun with the fans seated around her suite as the team secured a crucial win. She was photographed enthusiastically interacting with her fellow spectators as she smiled, waved and gave them high-fives.
After the game, she and Kelce, 34, were spotted holding hands as they exited the stadium. In a clip posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), the couple held hands and chatted with each other as they made their way out of the stadium, following behind Brittany and Patrick Mahomes.
