Taylor Swift Admits the 'Coolest Illusion' of the Eras Tour That Originally Left Fans in 'Horror'
Taylor Swift prides herself on keeping her fans on their toes, and one special part of the Eras Tour certainly did that.
While recounting some of her favorite moments of her history-making world tour in the brand-new Eras Tour Book, the "So High School" singer looked back on one part of the 3 and 1/2-hour show that had fans especially "Enchanted"—and maybe a little bit "Haunted."

As Swift recalls in her book, which officially released in stores on Friday, Nov. 29, the "coolest illusion" she pulls off throughout the Eras Tour is part of the acoustic section of the show, where she appears to dive into the stage after performing "surprise songs" on both the piano and the guitar.
"At the end of the second song, the stage becomes an ocean and I 'dive' into it, which involves a lot of blind faith and a big airbag under the stage," Swift, 34, spills in the book. "It's the coolest illusion of the night and I'll never forget the sound of the crowd the first time they saw it."
The "Cruel Summer" songstress recalled fans' initial reaction to the shocking jump, which she described as "somewhere between shock, horror and elation."
"Mission accomplished," she quips.

Even though Swift has been able to pull off the stunt for the more than 100 shows she's played on the tour, the on-stage dive has become part of the "Errors Tour" on more than one occasion.
In October, Swift appeared to slip right before jumping onto the airbag due to rainy conditions on the stage floor in Miami, Fla., leaving fans wondering if she was okay after it looked like she inadvertently jumped head-first.
"No this scared me," one user wrote after seeing a clip of the jaw-dropping moment shared to TikTok, while someone else said "I was worried when seeing this."
"Looks like she straight nose dived or front flipped after slipping," another user added, although Swift was confirmed to be just fine when she came back on stage for the next set of the show.
Talk about a literal "jump scare!"
