Taraji P. Henson Delivers Drama in Schiaparelli Cutout Dress With Gold Toes at 2024 Glamour Women of the Year Awards
Taraji P. Henson was among the bevy of A-list guests and honorees at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2024. The Oscar-nominated actress was recognized for her achievements in acting and her entrepreneurial endeavors.
For the star-studded occasion, Henson opted for a look courtesy of Schiaparelli’s fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection. The ensemble included a high-waisted maxi skirt with coordinated cape-effect top featuring a high neckline.

The cape featured a long, dramatic train. Henson’s look included a cutout beneath the bustline and ornate gold chain. She paired the look with black heels accented by gold toes and with dramatic gold statement earrings adorned with a drop pearl and shimmering studs.
Henson’s hair was coiffed to the side with a bold orange tint, styled by Tym Wallace. Her makeup included bold brows, a smokey eye and a soft lip by Keita Moore. Henson’s look was curated by stylists Wayman Deon and Micah McDonald, who’ve also collaborated with Danielle Deadwyler and Oscar-winning actress Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
Henson’s Schiaparelli look made its runway debut during Paris Fashion Week in March. The collection from creative director Daniel Roseberry, who joined the French fashion house in April 2019, signaled a new approach from the viral, celebrity-friendly brand.
“It’s no longer about building visibility, it’s about building something that will take the buzz and convert it into brand equity,” Roseberry explained during a preview.
“The Texan designer offered a chic take on the Western trend with suits that featured a new high-waisted, low-crotch pant that pooled around the feet. They came with cowboy boots inlaid with a molded ear covered with rhinestone piercings, and braids of hair worn as ties,” WWD’s Joelle Diderich wrote of the collection in her review.
The Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2024 celebrate women and their contributions to various fields and disciplines, from entertainment to broader cultural impacts. Honorees included Serena Williams, gymnast Suni Lee, Olympic athlete Allyson Felix, environmental advocate Maggie Baird, social activist Mandy Teefey, and abortion rights activists Hadley Duvall and Kaitlyn Joshua, among others.
