Sydney Sweeney Posed Topless After Body-Shaming Comments

Sydney Sweeney is continuing to have the last laugh amid criticism of her appearance. The Euphoria alumna, who was recently the subject of online body-shaming comments after paparazzi snapped a photo of her wearing a bikini outside of her house in Florida, fired back at internet trolls over the weekend in the most iconic way possible: Pairing the mean comments she’d received with an epic workout video showing how strong she’d gotten training for her latest role. And on Wednesday, December 18, Sweeney continued her streak of icon behavior as she subtly shaded haters with a carousel of topless photos.

“Rain rain go away,” Sweeney captioned her tongue-in-cheek shirtless carousel, which was shared with her 23 million Instagram followers. In the first photo, the Anyone But You star wore nothing on top except for a Miu Miu brown and cream knit cardigan featuring stripes on the sleeves and the designer brand’s name written in a little patch on the left side. Sweeney left the sweater open to showing off her chest and midsection.

As she leaned against a clear balcony railing on a rainy day, Sweeney struck a sultry pose, holding a brown leather purse in her right hand and tilting her head almost completely back towards the skyscrapers and buildings in the background. A pair of white tennis shoes completed her look.

Sweeney shared similar versions of the urban scene in the next few slides, including a close-up video of her briefly baring her chest before hugging the brown mini Miu Miu bag to herself. Wearing her blonde hair in a natural, middle-parted style, the star showed off a fresh-faced beauty look. The third and final snap from the shoot showed the same topless photo angle from the first image, except Sweeney wrapped her arms around her stomach and held the bag in front of her body.

Her latest post comes just days after the star directly clapped back at comments made about her bikini body. On Friday, she shared a video of rude messages she’d seen, including calling her “chunky” and an “Ozempic candidate,” before going into a montage of her training for her role as Christy Martin in the upcoming biopic about the former professional boxer.

Sweeney showed that she wasn't letting the hateful comments get to her, reposting the video to her Instagram Story with the caption, “Christy Martin Strong 💪 💪 🥊."
