A favourite Aussie brand is launching a surprise new product for customers to enjoy over summer.

Devoted customers of Guzman y Gomez will now be able to get the “dessert of their dreams”, a never-before-seen GYG Nacho Sundae from Tuesday.

The sundae will have a layer of signature corn chips coated in cinnamon sugar, topped with GYG’s creamy preservative-free soft serve.

Customers can choose their choice of dulce de leche or chocolate sauce drizzled on top.

GYG’s menu is loved by its customers with everyone having their own favourite feed.

The brand is sure the new nacho sundae will become a new fan favourite.

The sundae will put GYG lovers back just $6.50 and is described as the “ultimate mash up sweet and saltiness which is a flavour profile Aussies are obsessed with”.

It is available in select GYG stores for dine-in, takeaway, drive thru and delivery on the GYG app.

But GYG is urging customers to get in as it’s available for a limited time only, launching on Tuesday February 6.

GYG Founder and Co-CEO Steven Marks said the dessert has been inspired by menu customisations made daily by customers.

“The Nacho Sundae is set to become an iconic GYG menu item,” he said.

“When we first tried this menu item in our test kitchen, I genuinely came back to the office and couldn’t stop thinking about it.

“We know we have a hit when every single person in our team is raving about a new menu item so we knew we had to launch this summer!”

Mr Marks said there was something about the salty crispiness of the freshly made corn chips paired together with the smooth, sweet soft serve drizzled with the sweet sauces.

“It’s not a mash up that you think you want, then you try it and think ‘why didn’t we do this earlier’?” he said.

“I have a feeling this one is going to be a cult classic!”
