Sunrise star reveals huge surprise

The Sunrise team are joining in the celebrations after one of their reporters announced her surprise engagement.

Edwina Bartholomew broke the “big news” to morning viewers on Tuesday that Melbourne based reporter Teegan Dolling is engaged to her partner Jamie.

“After seven years together, her new fiance Jamie dropped to his knee and popped the question completely surprising our Teegan,” Bartholomew said.

“Congratulations Teegan, we wish you all the very best.”

The happy couple shared the footage of their proposal from their camping trip.

Sunrise co-hosts Matt Shirvington, Natalie Barr and Mick Beretta all shared their congratulations with their colleague, wishing the happy couple plenty of well wishes.

Bartholomew also let slip Dolling and her fiance had met seven years ago at a crime scene.

“Isn’t that a romantic start,” she said.

Barr laughed and said “that’s so journo”.

“Teegan, congratulations, that’s amazing,” Barr said.
