Are Summer Fridays products *actually* good? Hearst Owned

Scroll through your TikTok FYP and you'll be met with an abundance of makeup reviews, product recommendations and trend forecast videos—yep, it is I, floret girl, the Hype Test extraordinaire (read: guinea pig). From endless screentime on the app, there's one product that these girlies have convinced me on. Enter: The Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm, obvs. I mean, haven't we all fallen victim to the hype?

Now, while the moisturising lip product is a skincare staple for most, I'd like to shed some light on the brand's unsung heroes. That's right, the beauty giant has a number of products that are worth investing in! From moisturisers for every skin type to oils that boost the look of skin's elasticity, the Cosmo Beauty team reviewed every single product from the brand to bring you a lineup of the very best.

Here are the eight that made the cut...

Jet Lag Mask 64g

Ask me my travel ride-or-dies and this gem will sit pretty at number one. I’m in love. And don’t judge me for being in love with a face mask when someone is married to the Eiffel Tower. To just call this a mask is doing it a disservice. It’s actually an all-encompassing hydration station thanks to the hyaluronic acid, glycerin and shea butter, so if you find that your skin gets dried out on flights, this needs a space in your carry-on. I slather my face (inc eye area) with this as soon as I get on board and as the rest of my body slowly morphs into a raisin I apply on other areas too– neck, hands, the creases of my elbows – they all get some love. Sensitive skin? This is scent-free.

Dream Lip Oil 4.5ml

The Summer Fridays Dream Lip Oil is slept on... There, I said it. It may be one of the newer launches in the lineup, but boy is it one of the best (in my opinion, anyway). It's hydrating yet not sticky and adds a sheer flush of pigment to the lips.

What differentiates this lip oil formula from the balm is its consistency. The oil is more lightweight, whereas the balm is much thicker and a lil heavier on the lips. The lip oil contains a blend of oils for deep moisture, whereas the lip butter balm contains a mix of nourishing butters to repair dry lips. Therefore, the latter makes for a better lip treatment option.

SUMMER FRIDAYS Lip Butter Balm 15g

I welcome you to peep inside my handbag and I bet you’ll find at least two Summer Fridays Lip Butters sitting proudly along with my go-to concealer and a few rouge Tic Tacs (it’s all about easy access when it comes to my handbag essentials).

For months, I saw these balms over my TikTok and once I got my hands on them, the obsession began. I practically have all the shades now, but my fave is Iced Coffee. Not only does it fuel my caffeine addiction – it literally tastes like a vanilla latte, yum – but the butter gives a juicy, cocoa-coloured gloss to my lips while loading them with hydration.

Jet Lag Skin Soothing Hydration Mist 50ml

This Polly Pocket-sized, award-winning mist is a new handbag essential. If you think you don’t need a face mist in winter think again – the soothing formula refreshes makeup and helps calm that dry, tight feeling you get from cold climes.

But that's not all... Because she's perfect for summer, too! In need of a cool down? Spritz this on your face and décolletage for a soothing refresh. Not to mention its blend of skin-loving ingredients (aloe extract, bisabolol, cucumber extract etc, etc, I'm looking @ you). It's a win-win!

Sheer Skin Tint 30ml

With a work schedule filled with meetings and events, I need to look and feel my best whenever I head into the office. Wearing any foundation more than a couple times a week will guarantee a breakout, so Summer Friday’s Skin Tint is ideal for my sensitive skin. Shade 5 is my perfect match, but I’ll be mixing in a few drops of shade 6 when I tan in the summer. The consistency is super lightweight and hydrating while evening out my skin tone, and it stays put with a little powder on top – I’m loving e.l.f’s Halo Glow Powder Filter in Medium Warm.

Cloud Dew Moisturizer Cream

As an oily, sensitive-skinned girlie who is also prone to acne, this product is a fail-safe moisturising option. Not only does its oil-free, fragrance-free gel formula feel lightweight on the skin, but it's non-comedogenic, too, meaning it will not clog pores or cause added skin texture.

Oh, and not only that but its acid-filled ingredient makeup lends itself to hydrated, plumped and strengthened skin barrier. Get you a girl (read: moisturiser) who can do it all.

Heavenly Sixteen All-In-One Face Oil 30ml

Retinol is certainly a non-negotiable for keeping my skin tone unified but following up with a face oil is my secret for radiance and elasticity. My sensitive skin type can’t tolerate rich oils but when I find a winner, like Summer Fridays Heavenly Sixteen Face Oil, trapped sebum literally ejects itself from my skin – it’s so satisfying. I love applying the face oil as the final step in my evening skincare routine, starting with a cleanser, then retinol (a few times a week), then moisturiser, eye cream, then oil.

Rich Cushion Cream Ultra Plumping Moisturizer 50ml

Is your dry skin gasping? Well, this rich moisturiser quenches thirsty complexions everywhere thanks to its deep moisturising properties. A power trio of super-hydrators—glycerin, squalane and saccharide isomerate (a plant sugar-derived humectant)—deliver up to 24 hours of moisture.

That said, although thick, this formula layers beautifully under makeup. Top tip: For a flawless finish, make sure to let it fully settle into the skin before applying your base.
