Spotify Wrapped for Audiobooks: Top Mystery and Thriller Audiobooks of 2024 (Exclusive)

Spotify Wrapped isn’t just for music — it’s for books too!

On Dec. 4, Spotify users everywhere were alerted to their Spotify Wrapped stats, which showcase users' top artists, songs and albums of the year. This year, for the first time, the music streaming service shared statistics for their audiobooks branch, including the Global Top Audiobooks on Premium, as well as the app’s Global Top Author.

PEOPLE can exclusively reveal the top audiobooks from the Mystery and Thriller genre.

Authors like Jeneva Rose and Riley Sager were among the authors on the list, with their novels The Perfect Marriage (2020) and The Only One Left (2023), respectively. Other favorites included bestsellers like Alex Michaelides’ The Silent Patient (2019) and Lisa Jewell’s None of This is True (2023).

Other authors had multiple books represented, such as legendary horror writer Stephen King. The author has written his fair share of thrillers, including 2022’s Fairy Tale and 2023’s Holly, both of which made the list. He also co-narrates his own audiobooks, for an extra dose of scares.

And the number one Mystery and Thriller audiobook? Freida McFadden’s novel The Teacher, which came out in February. McFadden’s novels Never Lie (2023) and The Boyfriend (2024) also earned places on the list, making her the most represented writer.
