Sophia Bush's Ex Grant Hughes Lays Claim to $300K Currently Restrained by Their Prenup
Bush filed for divorce in August, 13 months after she and Hughes wed
Sophia Bush and estranged husband Grant Hughes aren’t on the same page about their prenup.
New court filings obtained by PEOPLE state the One Tree Hill alum believes the exes' "Unity Agreement" should be upheld, while Hughes considers it invalid.
Hughes’ latest filing asked the court to drop the mutual, temporary restraining order (as is typical in many divorce cases) to allow him to invest $300,000 in real estate — specifically in Oklahoma storage facilities. Hughes’ team alleges this financial decision would not impact the prenup payout, should the court choose to uphold it. Hughes’ request was accepted by the court.
A rep for Bush had no comment, PEOPLE has also reached out to Hughes' attorney.

Neither Bush nor Hughes has publicly issued a statement on the split, which became public knowledge just 13 months after the couple's wedding. A month before the divorce filing, Bush posted a romantic anniversary post on Instagram. “Today marks 365 days of calling you ‘husband,’” she captioned a black and white throwback photo of the two on their wedding day. “Best decision of my life. It still feels just like this. Ecstatic. Running toward the future, grinning and laughing, together. I love you, my favorite. Happy Anniversary 🤍”

Since her split from Hughes, Bush has been dating former soccer player Ashlyn Harris, who is also in the midst of a divorce from fellow USWNT veteran Ali Krieger.
A source told PEOPLE in mid-October that, "After being friends for years, and running in the same social circles, Sophia and Ashlyn went out on their first dinner date a couple of weeks ago. This is so recent, and they are both beginning new chapters.”
