Even if you’re not familiar with his music, you’ve likely heard of Snoop Dogg. The California-born rapper was front and center at the Paris Olympics cheering on Team USA and now he's gearing up for his fall run as a coach on The Voice. You might be surprised to know that he occasionally dives into the culinary world as well.

Snoop has written two best-selling cookbooks and has a longstanding friendship with Martha Stewart, (they even co-hosted a cooking show together). In the last few years, Snoop has set his sights on supermarket shelves by releasing a line of frozen treats.

Dr. Bombay Ice Cream launched in 2023 under BossLady Foods as a collaboration between Snoop Dogg and Happi Co. The frozen collection features vibrant West Coast-inspired flavors such as Strawberry Cream Dream, Tropical Sherbet Swizzle, and Bonus Track Brownie, all of which are Snoop-approved.

Now, the brand is bringing a new flavor to the freezer aisle featuring one of the most iconic duos in food.

Dr. Bombay recently added another unique flavor to its lineup: Peanut Butter Jelly Time. The treat is a frozen ode to the "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" song that was popular in the early 2000s. The ice cream serves up a double dose of flavor that's ideal for PB&J enthusiasts. The pint combines a peanut butter ice cream base with grape sherbet. But the flavor doesn’t stop there. The brand reinforces the nostalgic combination with peanut butter chips and swirls of grape jelly.

In a recent Reddit thread, one reviewer gave the flavor a flawless score. “Absolutely perfect peanut butter and jelly flavor and great texture. The peanut butter chips are nice and soft while the jelly swirl is very plentiful and very tasty. This ice cream gets an honest 10/10 from me.” Another fan shared their plans for stocking up: “I'm planning to buy at least 2 more pints, it is amazing.”

Some commenters seemed unsure of testing out a new ice cream brand. “Any weird aftertaste or texture? I feel like those are the biggest complaints with this brand, but if this flavor doesn’t have those problems… I’ve been waiting for a peanut butter and jelly ice cream my whole life,” said one Redditor. Another commenter confirmed that there was no bad aftertaste and they loved the flavor.

So if you’re a fan of the classic sandwich, be sure to give this nostalgic ice cream a try for yourself. Pints of Dr. Bombay’s Peanut Butter Jelly Time are now available at Walmart and additional select retailers nationwide.
