SNL Video: Chris Rock Roasts Donald Trump’s Victory, UHC Shooter, Menendez Brothers in Searing Monologue — Watch

Chris Rock returned to Studio 8H this week on Saturday Night Live… and he had plenty of thoughts on what’s happening in the news.

The former SNL cast member hosted Saturday’s episode and opened with a monologue that dove right into the topics of the day, including UHC shooter Luigi Mangione: “Everybody’s fixated on how good-looking this guy is. If he looked like Jonah Hill, no one would care.” He did offer sympathies to the family of the slain health care CEO, but he added: “Sometimes drug dealers get shot. You’ve seen The Wire, right?”

Rock then turned to the political news of the year: Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election. He’s not shocked that Trump won, despite all his controversies: “We’ve had presidents show up to the inauguration with pregnant slaves. And I’m talking about Bill Clinton!” He pointed out that America already has a decidedly checkered history: “You know how many rapists are in my wallet right now? A cup of coffee in America costs seven rapists! And Trump’s gonna get it down to three.”

He also addressed the Menendez brothers “getting out of jail… just in time to get deported.” Trump, Rock said, is working with “the richest African American in the world: Elon Musk… Nobody knows how to get rid of people like a South African.” He joked that Trump and Musk planned to “put [immigrants] on a rocket ship, call it SpaceMex. J.Lo’s gonna marry Ben again, just so she can stay in the country. I know she’s not Mexican… but Trump don’t know that.”

Rock closed out his set by touching on the topic of President Joe Biden pardoning his son Hunter. Biden may be slowing down, Rock said, but “that middle finger still works,” adding: “Every parent in the world would pardon their son… except for the Menendez brothers.”
