“SNL” alum reveals Melissa McCarthy once made another actress laugh so hard she literally peed 'on the stage'

Leslie Jones also said that McCarthy once told her "I'm gonna break you, bitch," before performing in a "Saturday Night Live" sketch together.

Saturday Night Live hosts often facilitate release when it comes to laughter on the air; but, according to one iconic show alum, Melissa McCarthy once made another actress cackle so hard that she accidentally peed on a stage in front of an audience.

During a Wednesday morning interview on The View, Laraine Newman — joined by fellow past cast members Julia Sweeney and Leslie Jones — told the panelists that the Bridesmaids Oscar nominee and frequent SNL host broke another performer's focus while leading a prior performance with the improv comedy group, the Groundlings.

"There was a cast member in the Groundlings that did a sketch with Melissa, and Melissa did something unexpected, and the other actress peed on the stage," Newman revealed, drawing laughter from the studio audience.

Newman recalled the occurrence during a discussion about breaking character during Saturday Night Live airings, with Jones recalling a time McCarthy expressed interest in making her laugh mid-sketch.

"I always broke, because I love to laugh. I always broke, and I would always get the worst comments, like, 'Oh, can't you be professional?' I'm like, you have Melissa McCarthy and Cecily Strong both doing crazy stuff," Jones remembered. "Melissa told me before we [did a sketch], 'I'm gonna break you, bitch!'"

Sweeney also added that she had a tough time keeping her composure during Chris Farley's legendary "Matt Foley: Van Down by the River" segment.

"During rehearsal, they came in and said, 'We have to cut around you because you keep breaking.' I was saying, yeah, but I have the best seat in the house for the funniest thing that's happening in the world right now," Sweeney said.
