It’s a tale as old as time; boy meets girl, girl falls in love, girl forgets to give number, girl takes to social media to track down boy with the help of an international airline.

Ok maybe more of a modern day romance, but a romance none the less- one woman is determined to track down her Romeo after the two sat next to each other on an international flight and forgot to swap details.

Jomaica Alfiler was flying home from Germany to Seattle – a notoriously rom-com friendly city – when a handsome stranger walked up the narrow aisle and into her heart.

The 21-year-old was desperate to track down the ‘lovely gentleman’ who helped her with her luggage and shared a few gin and tonics as they flew over the Atlantic, and so reached out to the airline company Lufthansa for help.

In a heart-warming exchange she shared to social media, the lovesick lady begs the airline to help her find the man saying: “I’m reaching out to you because I haven’t stopped thinking about him since the plane landed.”

“I don’t know when will I ever see him again or did I just miss my chance?”

The airline company replied with an encouraging ‘awww’, and said: “I am happy to hear the gentleman next to you sweetened your journey.”

It’s not quite Sleepless in Seattle, however, the carrier was obviously bound by privacy regulations and couldn’t share any details.

They did, however, wish her luck and suggested she take to social media which is exactly what she did.

In the post, Jomaica shared the exchange with Lufthansa alongside the hashtag #catchflightsandfeelings, and it is quickly gaining traction online.

We’re suckers for a love story, so here’s to hoping Romeo is reading and the two meet again.
