Slash Announces Summer 2024 S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival Tour Dates: 'Celebration of Blues and Rock 'N' Roll Music'
The Guns N' Roses rocker will hit the road following the May 17 release of his new album 'Orgy of the Damned'
Slash is hitting the road this summer!
On Tuesday, the Guns N' Roses rocker announced the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival Tour, a blues-focused string of North American concerts with various musicians in support of his forthcoming album Orgy of the Damned.
"The S.E.R.P.E.N.T. tour is a celebration of blues and rock ‘n’ roll music, and a celebration of unity and togetherness in these uncertain and divisive times," said Slash, 58, in a press release on his website.

According to the Grammy winner, S.E.R.P.E.N.T. stands for "Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance" — which ties into the tour's charitable aspect, as its proceeds will partially benefit The Equal Justice Initiative, Know Your Rights Camp, The Greenlining Institute and War Child.
"S.E.R.P.E.N.T is a vehicle to help support and uplift people and communities suffering from the injustices of racism and equal rights violations, as well as to support children adversely affected by war and poverty across the world," continued Slash.
"So, we are contributing a portion of every ticket and VIP package sold from the tour to those ends. S.E.R.P.E.N.T. will also provide an environment where folks can get together for a day of great music and hang out and have a good time," his statement concluded.

Kicking off July 5 in Bonner, Montana, the festival tour will make stops in cities including Los Angeles, Denver, Cincinnati, Toronto, New York City, Boston, Atlanta and more before wrapping Aug. 17 in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Joining Slash throughout the run are blues artists including Warren Haynes Band, Keb’ ‘Mo, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Robert Randolph, Samantha Fish, Eric Gales, ZZ Ward, Jackie Venson and Larkin Poe.
The tour's launch comes shortly after the May 17 release of Orgy of the Damned, a collaborative blues project that marks Slash's second solo album. Featured artists on the body of work include Gary Clark Jr., Billy Gibbons, Chris Stapleton, Dorothy, Iggy Pop, Paul Rodgers, Demi Lovato, Chris Robinson, Tash Neal and Beth Hart.
Slash is currently in the midst of his The River Is Rising Tour of Latin America, Asia and Europe, which runs through April 29.
