Simone Biles Shows Off ‘Iconic’ New Neck Tattoo
It’s no secret that fans love Simone Biles’ style—and that love appears to extend to her new body art.
The Olympic champion recently picked out a design for a new neck tattoo, which an artist in Scottsdale, Ariz., helped her bring to life. Biles, 27, revealed a snapshot of the final result on Instagram Stories on Thursday, Sept. 19.
The photo Biles shared was originally posted by Sydney, a fine-line tattoo specialist at SYZYGY Precision Tattooing. For her new ink, the seven-time Olympic gold medalist chose a delicate message for the back of her neck that read, “MADE IN HEAVEN.” The tiny capital letters, which were drawn on right below her hairline, were clearly visible when Biles swept her hair into a bun, which she tends to do while competing and did again for the Instagram photo.
“‘Made in heaven’ for @simonebiles ♡,” the tattoo artist wrote to caption the image, which quickly began amassing comments in the first few hours after it was posted.
Several fans who shared their reactions to the photo online dubbed Biles and Sydney both “GOATs” (or “greatest of all time”) while noting the expertise behind the design.
“TWO GOATS😍❤️🔥,” one fan wrote as others excitedly posted goat emojis.
“An icon tattooing an icon 😩🙌🏼😭✨,” one person declared.
“No way!! This is amazing 😍,” another person commented.
Many described the design as “iconic,” with one person writing, “This is so iconic 🔥🔥.”
“So rad!!!” one Instagram user wrote as another agreed, “omg that’s SO cute 😍.”
Biles shared the photo of her new tattoo less than two months after competing at the Summer Olympic Games, which took place this year in Paris, France. After withdrawing from competition at the Tokyo Summer Games in 2021, Biles made her triumphant return to the Olympic stage in July, picking up three new gold medals—and one silver—to bring her overall Olympic medal tally to 11.
