Yahoo Lifestyle Simon Cowell Causes Concern With Altered Appearance: ‘Ouch’
Simon Cowell appears to have suffered an unfortunate grooming incident, and the evidence has fans saying, "Ouch."
The Britain's Got Talent judge stepped out for the Season 18 photocall in London on Wednesday, Feb. 12, where a notable slit of his facial hair was missing from underneath his nose. While it had the potential for a bold fashion statement, à la the slit eyebrow trend, it seems more likely to have been caused by a slip of the razor blade.
Although the razor seemingly did not make direct contact with his skin, with no obvious signs of a cut or even redness, news of his "uneven facial hair," as reported on X by the Daily Mail, appeared to elicit both laughter and concern.
"Ouch, Simon! 😬," one response read, simultaneously joking about the "usually well-groomed" TV personality's "unintentional new style."
He appeared to have made no effort to fill in the gap with the help of the series' glam team, but opting to leave it front and center certainly generated some new press.
Aside from the new goatee, Cowell was decked out in a charcoal sweater and black trousers with orange-tinted spectacles.
He posed with co-stars Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon on the red carpet. The former stunned in a leopard-print jumpsuit with a matching blazer, as the latter wore a punky top made of buckled belts under a leather jacket.
Across the pond, Cowell is also juggling America's Got Talent, which is facing a major shake-up for the upcoming season.
