Shoppers Say They Have 'Been Waiting For' Trader Joe's' Newest Korean Grocery Item

If it's wrong to become beside yourself over news of upcoming grocery store releases, then we simply do not want to be right. And there's no store that gets us food lovers more over the moon quite like Trader Joe's. While the popular local grocery store chain keeps us comforted with forever items like cauliflower gnocchi and everything but the bagel seasoning, with every core exercise comes a stretch.

Lately, Trader Joe's has been actively rolling out lots of of-the-moment items that truly reflect how America eats today. Case in point: their ever-growing collection of Korean products that includes everything from the viral kimbap and sweet cinnamon pancakes to bulgogi and gochujang. And wheels keep on turning it seems. Thanks to a social media post from Instagram account @trader_joes_treasure_hunt, we were able to get some early scoop on a new Korean grocery items that's coming soon to famed store.

According to the food account, Trader Joe's is set to release their rendition of a Korean-style classic condiment: Yangyeom Sauce. Made with soy sauce, blackstrap molasses and gochugaru chili flakes, this sauce is sweet and spicy as much as it is super-sticky, which makes it perfect to use as a foil with crunchy foods like fried chicken and fries. But honestly, the sauce will go deliciously with everything.

Curious fans dove into the comments to react to the exciting news. Exclaimed one commenter, "Yangnyeom literally means “sauce” in Korean so I have no idea how this will taste. Regardless I am excited!❤️" Another person was aligned commenting, "❤️❤️ holy smokes!!! Been waiting for this!!!!!"

Some commenters were already ideating what they would use the sauce with. "I'm tempted to use this in the chicken from the orange chicken bag. Divide in half do 1/2 orange chicken and the yangnyeom sauce," said one person, while another thought, "Oh that'd be so good with my momofuku noodles... or beef, haha. 🤤" At $3.99 per bottle, you may as well grab one bottle for every need.

It's unclear exactly when the product will hit the shelves of Trader Joe's locations nationwide, but chances are once it does, all eyes will be on the sauce.
