“Selling Sunset ”star Christine Quinn’s husband arrested for 2nd time following domestic dispute
Christian Dumontet was arrested on a charge of violating an emergency protective order after allegedly hitting a child with a bag containing a glass bottle on Tuesday.
Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn’s husband, Christian Richard (whose legal name is Dumontet), was arrested for a second time this week.
Following a domestic incident involving his wife and child, Dumontet was taken into custody on Wednesday night after he allegedly violated an emergency protective order, PEOPLE reports.
“Last night at approximately 11:40 p.m. our Hollywood officers responded to a radio call," the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement to PEOPLE. "The suspect, Dumontet, Christian, was arrested for violation of a restraining order.”
The Los Angeles Police Department previously confirmed to EW that Dumontet, who also goes as Christian Richard, has been booked on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly harming a toddler with a glass bottle. Officers arrived at the scene after responding to a domestic dispute in Hollywood Hills on March 19 at approximately 2pm.
“The suspect threw a bag containing a glass bottle at the victim, missed the victim but hit the victim’s child, causing injury,” a public information officer alleged in a statement. The child was subsequently transported to the ER in an ambulance.
TMZ was the first to break the news, in a report that included photos of Dumontet’s arrest, where he is seen being led out of the couple’s home, handcuffed, in only a bathrobe. A source told the outlet that the child involved is Quinn’s two-year-old son Christian Georges Dumontet, whom she shared with her husband.
A rep for Quinn declined to comment.
The reality star and real estate agent introduced Dumontet to Netflix’s Selling Sunset in 2020, with their relationship progressing over several seasons of the show. Their wedding was featured as the centerpiece of the series’ third season. Quinn later told PEOPLE that she was unhappy with the way their big day was portrayed.
"It just didn't really showcase the way that it was," she said ahead of the episode’s release. "The wedding was the best day of my life and it was hard for me to watch it on the television show because that's not really the way that I remember it. I understand they wanted to get certain storylines in there, but this was actually my day.”
Quinn later exited the series ahead of its sixth season, after parting ways with The Oppenheim Group, the real estate firm at the center of Selling Sunset. That same year, she and Dumontet launched a bitcoin-centric real estate company called Real Open.
