If Selena Gomez ever ties the knot, she’s doing it as herself!

No matter what the future holds, the singer and actress, 32, has no plans to give up her last name, she revealed in her new Vanity Fair cover story published Monday, Sept. 9.

While discussing her relationship with Benny Blanco — and whether she sees wedding bells in their future — Gomez revealed that neither she nor her family are pressuring the producer and cookbook author into marriage.

She and Blanco, 36, “always make sure we’re protecting what we have, but there’s no rules,” she told the magazine.

“I want him to always be himself,” she added. “I always want to be myself.”

Being herself, she explained, includes maintaining her name, which she has used since she got her start in the industry on Barney & Friends over two decades ago — and which is inextricable from her career, from Wizards of Waverly Place to Rare Beauty.

“I’m not changing my name no matter what,” she told Vanity Fair. “I am Selena Gomez. That’s it.”

The Only Murders in the Building star did not tease a marriage to Blanco explicitly, but she did tell the magazine that she has “never been loved this way.”

“He’s just been a light. A complete light in my life,” she said of the producer, whom she began dating after years of friendship in July 2023.

“He’s my best friend,” she added. “I love telling him everything.”

Blanco, however, has said he wants to see wedding bells in the couple’s future — and Gomez addressed his comments while chatting with Vanity Fair.

“He can’t lie,” she said of the producer, who joked that he’s “gotta get my act together” before proposing on The Howard Stern Show in May. "After the interview, I was dying laughing. Like, ‘Anything else you wanted to put out there?’ ”

Blanco not only teased marriage while appearing on The Howard Stern Show — he also echoed Gomez’s Vanity Fair comments about the pair being each other’s “best friend.”

The producer said the actress — who he described as “the coolest, nicest, sweetest” — is “truly is my best friend.”

Gomez’s Vanity Fair cover story also comes after she opened up about how they spend time together, revealing that cooking with her beau really “grounds her.”

"I love fresh foods and stuff. I'm starting to get into that kind of because of my boyfriend," she said at a Rare Beauty virtual event on Sept. 4. “Just being in the garden and picking food that I'm going to be able to cook with."

"It sounds so silly and minuscule but the older you get the more that you realize that it's OK to just be simple and have simplicity," she added.
