Selena Gomez Arrived in a Breathtaking Off-the-Shoulder Gown to the ‘Emilia Pérez’ Los Angeles Premiere
Selena Gomez continued her all-black dressing for the Emilia Pérez press tour on October 21, stepping out at the Los Angeles premiere of the film in an Elie Saab haute couture dress. The dark floor-length gown had a dramatic off-the-shoulder neckline and satin wrap detailing on the bodice. The actor added silver hoop earrings and black leather opera gloves to complete the look.
FYI, the day prior, Sel attended a BAFTA screening of the film in L.A. She wore a black blazer onstage with dark transparent tights and accessorized with Mejuri rings.
And because she’s the epitome of that girl, over the weekend, the celeb was among the stars at the Academy Museum Gala. She debuted shorter hair at the event and a navy-and-black Alaïa halter gown. For jewelry, she sported the most gorgeous Tiffany & Co. pieces.
A reminder that Emilia Pérez comes out in limited theaters on November 1, 2024, and will be available on Netflix starting November 13.
Earlier this week, Sel shared an Instagram where she touched on the experience of making Emilia Pérez. “Reflecting on the many adventures working on Emilia...from my audition to head banging at half the speed as what we shot it. Pretty sure I got whiplash in the best way,” she wrote.
Director Jacques Audiard spoke to Netflix’s Tudum about how quickly he knew the actor was right for the role. “I met Selena Gomez one morning in New York,” he said. “I remembered her from Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers, but I hardly knew anything about her. In 10 minutes, I knew it would be her. I actually told her, and she wouldn’t believe me. When we called her a year later to tell her that the film was greenlit, she thought I’d forgotten about her!”
