Three of the books honored by the Libby AwardsThe winners of the 2025 Libby Awards have arrived.
PEOPLE can exclusively share the list of the winners for the literary award, which was announced on March 5. Hosted by library lending apps OverDrive and Libby, the prize, now in its second year, honors the best books published in 2024, as chosen by librarians and library staff.
Over 1,100 librarians and library staff from across North America nominated books to be considered and voted on the winners, PEOPLE previously reported. Staff chose from a variety of genres, ranging from fiction to nonfiction to young adult literature.
"Librarians are unmatched in their ability to connect readers with stories that resonate, and these finalists reflect the books that captivated communities across the country," said Jennifer Leitman, CMO of OverDrive, in a statement previously shared with PEOPLE.
"The Libby Book Awards aren’t just about recognizing great books — they're about celebrating the joy of reading and the role libraries play in fostering that passion,” Leitman added.
