The documentary “tells the story of Sean Combs’ early years and features exclusive interviews with Diddy’s childhood friends, his former bodyguard, and Al B. Sure!, who speaks out for the first time about Diddy’s relationship with Kim Porter,” per the official logline.

Porter dated Al B. Sure! before having an on-and-off relationship with Combs from 1994 until 2007. She and Combs had three children together before her death in 2018 from lobar pneumonia. Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy will also include never-before-seen footage of Combs partying in his home and studio, tying in his recent criminal allegations and “challenging viewers to rethink everything they thought they knew about the mogul behind the music — and the mugshot.”

In September 2024, Combs was indicted on three counts of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. The charges came months after several women filed lawsuits against Combs for sexual assault, leading to a federal investigation into an alleged criminal enterprise involving sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.
