Sara Amini Joins James Wan/Simu Liu’s Peacock Series
EXCLUSIVE: Sara Amini (Lucky Hank) is set for a major recurring role on James Wan’s untitled espionage techno-thriller series at Peacock, starring Simu Liu.
From creator/writer/executive producer Thomas Brandon (Legacies), the Untitled James Wan & Simu Liu Project is set five minutes in the future when first-generation American intelligence analyst Alexander Hale (Liu) realizes his brain has been hacked, giving the perpetrators access to everything he sees and hears. Caught between his shadowy agency and the unknown hackers, he must maintain a performance 24/7 to flush out who’s responsible and prove where his allegiance lies.

Amini will play Ellie, who works with admin support for Alexander’s new operation.
Cast also includes Melissa Barrera (In the Heights) as Michelle; Sinclair Daniel (The Other Black Girl) as Parker; Brian d’Arcy James (Spotlight) as John Moira; Mark O’Brien (City on a Hill) as Cobb and Kathleen Chalfant (Wit) as St. George.
UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio. Jennifer Yale (See, Outlander) serves as co-showrunner and executive producer. In addition to acting, Liu also executive produces alongside Wan, Michael Clear (Archive 81, M3GAN) and Rob Hackett (Archive 81, I Know What You Did Last Summer) for Wan’s Atomic Monster, along with Mark Winemaker. Jet Wilkson also serves as executive producer and director of the first two episodes.
Amini was a series regular on AMC’s Lucky Hank opposite Bob Odenkirk. She most recently appeared in a key recurring role on CSI: Vegas. Amini is repped by Gersh, Vault Entertainment and Yorn, Levine, Barnes.
