SAG Awards 2025: Nobody Wants This Duo, Kathy Bates (x2!), Ted Danson and The Penguin Among Nominees

Kathy Bates… and Kathy Bates are among the nominees for the 2025 SAG Awards, announced on Wednesday morning.

All told, FX’s Shōgun leads the TV pack with five total nominations, followed by FX/Hulu’s The Bear (with four nods) and HBO’s The Penguin (three).

Out of “an abundance of caution for the safety of … presenters, guests and staff,” an in-personevent that was to announce this year’s SAG Award nominees was cancelled, as fast-moving wildfires and adverse wind conditions ravage the coast in Los Angeles. Instead, the list of nominations for TV and film were shared via press release, and are listed below.

The 31st Annual SAG Awards will stream live globally on Netflix Sunday, Feb. 23 at 8/7c, from Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall.

Kristen Bell will host this year’s ceremony, where actress and activist Jane Fonda will be presented with the Life Achievement Award, SAG-AFTRA’s highest honor.
