Sabrina Carpenter looks straight from the sixties with big bouncy blow-out
Sabrina Carpenter just served us a dreamy, sixties-inspired beauty look — twinning with the Dolly Parton in a countrified version of her Please, Please, Please music video.
Taking to Instagram to give us a few BTS shots from the music video, which was earlier released on Youtube, the singer unveiled the biggest, bounciest blow dry we've ever seen. Trust us when we say, the curls are curling.
Adding yet more sixties-inspired elements to the look, Sabrina finished her hair 'do with an Alice band, perfectly framing her blonde curtain bangs that peek through underneath.
As for the 25-year-old's makeup, the sixties theme continues. Sabrina wears dark, smokey, winged eye makeup — an ode to the 'mod' eye makeup made popular in the sixties thanks to celebrities including Twiggy and Cher.
Sabrina's beauty look was pulled together perfectly with an outfit that looks straight from a sixties catwalk. Think: a frilly gingham playsuit, lace gloves and chunky peep toe heels. Honestly, we won't be mad if this music video sets a trend for sixties-style fashion this S/S season. We're totally here for it.
So far, stunning, stunning, stunning — and we haven't even got onto the fact that Sab is twinning with the queen that is Dolly Parton in the video. The pair are giving glamorous granny-granddaughter energy.
Unsurprisingly, it's not just us in love with the look, the video and the magical pairing. "PERFECTION. Absolute perfection," someone said on Instagram after Sabrina posted a carousel of photos from the music shoot. "WE ARE OBSESSED," another follower added, with a third writing: "Ahh you look unreal."
Elsewhere in the comments section, another fan said what we're all thinking: "Never seen anything more iconic."
True that.
