Influencer reveals she is pregnant with stepson’s baby
A Russian influencer has taken her very controversial relationship to the next level, announcing she is expecting a baby with her partner, who also happens to be her step-son.
Marina Balmasheva announced her baby news with boyfriend Vladimir via two Instagram posts on Sunday.
The first showed the couple posing with a positive pregnancy test, while the second was a video of Marina announcing the news to an ecstatic Vladimir.
Marina adopted ex-husband Alexey’s, 45, five children while they were together and continues to help raise some of them, now with their older brother to give her a hand.

In the announcement, Marina revealed the pair were only four weeks along, and that they had decided to tie the knot because of the pregnancy.
“[I’m] tired of hiding,” a translation of the post reads. “... Everything is possible in this world. We are 4 weeks and yes. That is why we decided to get married.”
One person even wrote that the news was likely a sign that marina was destined to carry her ex-husband’s grandchild rather than his child.
Plenty of other fans react with heart emojis and happiness, but with comments of the influencer’s posts limited it’s impossible to know if the news has been received by everyone with such open arms.
Heated backlash to family connection
The pair’s relationship was first plunged into the limelight when a throwback snap shared by Marina of herself at 22-year-old posing with the then-7-year-old Vladimir went viral.
The revelation of the pair’s origins initially sparked heated backlash online as many labelled the situation laid bare by the photo seriously problematic.
Many people said it was immoral to start a relationship with the child that she had helped to raise, and also made other negative comments.
“What shocks me most is that this boy grew up before her very eyes,” one person commented.
“This is a prank right? You are teasing?” another asked.
Others made crude comments about her ditching an older man for a younger model.
