'Rock the Block' Ratings Are In! Explaining What That Means for Season 6
Each season, zealous fans of Rock the Block tune in to see what their favorite HGTV stars can do with $250,000 in six weeks time. Thus far, in its past five seasons, Rock the Block has yet to disappoint (though fans may not always agree with the judges).
During the season five finale on April 15, we watched Unsellable Houses'twins Leslie Davis and Lyndsay Lamb win it all with practical and savvy renovations inside and out of their Treasure Island, Florida, home. Of course, this left Bryan and Sarah Baeumler, Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas, and Page Turner and Mitch Glew with another Rock the Block loss under their belt.
Even though season five just ended, fans are sad to see their Monday night ritual come to an end once again. We're already eager for more Rock the Block, but a representative from HGTV confirmed that there is no word on the show's future yet.
If we consider the pattern the show's last four seasons have followed, we shouldn't expect a new season until around March 2025, but that's only if the show is renewed at all.
The good news is a season six Rock the Block renewal is looking promising. According to HGTV, Rock the Block's ratings prove that fans want HGTV to keep the show alive! Rock the Block season five was HGTV's highest rated series to-date in 2024. On top of that, the poplar show drew in 13.6 million total viewers from its March 4 premiere to the season finale.
Season five even improved upon previous Rock the Block ratings with double digit gains in multiple categories. All of that to say, we can't be completely certain about the future of Rock the Block until HGTV makes an official announcement, but all signs point towards renewal for season six!
