Rob Lowe is spilling secrets of the Brat Pack. In a new interview on Kelly Ripa's Let's Talk Off Camera podcast, the actor revealed that he and Demi Moore, who were both members of the young Hollywood group, "briefly" dated each other back in the '80s.

Kicking off the conversation about Lowe and Moore's 1986 film About Last Night, Ripa pressed the actor for details about their relationship. “You two have crazy good chemistry,” Ripa said, prior to firing off a list of questions: “Did you have a crush on her? Did you guys ever date?"

Before Lowe could answer, Ripa then asked about the Brat Pack—a group of young stars in the 1980s that included Lowe, Moore, Ally Sheedy, Molly Ringwald, Kevin Bacon, Matthew Broderick, and more—in general, asking, "Did you all date each other? Was it like, just—was it a big romp?”

“Look, anytime you put young 20-something men and women together, hookups are inevitable, Lowe explained. "And I don’t think that has changed.”

As for him and Moore, he continued, “I mean, Demi and I briefly—I’m not telling tales out of school—we briefly had a thing." However, their romance didn't last long and ended before her engagement to fellow Brat Packer Emilio Estevez in 1985. “And then we all were at [Demi’s 1987] wedding to Bruce [Willis],” Lowe added.

While their romance didn't make it for the long haul, Lowe says he and Moore are still friendly and are "very much in contact" decades later. In fact, the two are currently "on a text thread" together about a St. Elmo's Fire sequel. "It's moving along," he shared of the upcoming film, which will include the original cast. "It's going a little more slowly than I would have liked, but that's a good thing because we're trying to find the right writer and the right story. But all of the actors, everybody is on board. Everybody's excited."
