Rita Ora’s XXL flared trousers are a literal trip hazard

New York Fashion Week is officially underway, and from the runways to the after parties all the guests and celebs in attendance have made sure to pull out their best lewks. While Julia Fox has leant into naked dressing in a teeny tiny chain bodysuit, the street style set has been debuting plenty of new trends. We're talking knee-high boots, low-rise jorts and oversized tailoring galore.

And Rita Ora got the new season, new trend memo. After stepping out in a number of see-through and cut-out 'fits this summer, she debuted a totally new look sitting front row at the Michael Kors Spring / Summer 2024 Ready To Wear show. Specifically, a pair of XXL flared trousers.

When we say XXL, we mean it. Not only were her trews a super exaggerated flared leg but the long trailing hems were a literal trip hazard.

Rita added a black leather belt with a silver buckle to her low-rise trousers, and paired them with a one-shoulder asymmetric grey top. A black box-style clutch bag and silver pinky ring were her only accessories.

As for her shoes, they couldn't be seen beneath those billowing hems but we imagine she had on a serious pair of platform heels helping to make her legs appear endlessly long.

In a joint post between the singer and the designer, more photos could be seen of Rita's ensemble captioned, "A flair for flares at the Spring/Summer 2024 Michael Kors Collection runway show."
