Ricki-Lee and Richard Harrison’s love story
Ricki-Lee met her now husband, Richard Harrison, through a mutual friend.
Speaking on the Kyle and Jackie O Show, Ricki-Lee said she was instantly attracted to him when she was shown a picture of him from his Facebook page. The pair connected when the friends were out together one night to watch an AFL game.
"I was skulling a jug of beer...and I looked and just saw his face at the door and he saw me and smiled," she said.
"He grabbed my hand, he took me to the bar, we had a couple of shots and then I think very soon after that we went back to my place."
Richard ended up becoming Ricki-Lee’s manager, with the star telling the radio hosts: “He could see things from an outsider’s perspective that I couldn’t. I was trapped in it. He lifted the cover for me.”
The couple got engaged in 2013 in Sydney and married at Paris' Château Bouffémont in 2015.
Since then Ricki-Lee has been bombarded with questions about when she and her husband will have kids, with the star telling the Courier Mail in 2019: “For me, it’s simply: I don’t want kids. People on the street ask me, ‘When are you and Rich having kids?’ Stop!”
“It’s a completely personal decision,’’ she said. “You can’t tell people how to live their lives.”
