Lake shared the new clip on Jan. 12, writing, "What’s left of our home and garden from the courtyard."
She tried to stay positive as she went on, saying, "The Palm trees 🌴 survived! I can’t believe it….And to hear the birds chirping warms my broken heart. 💔."

The Hairspray actress also thanked her friend Kirby Kotler, who appeared to be sharing updates with Lake about her property during the ordeal, writing, "You are an extraordinary human. Thank you for being there with us that terrifying night and thank you for getting this footage. You’re an angel."
In the clip, Kotler walked through Lake's front yard, with a huge palm tree still standing in the middle. A lot of her landscaping and some of her outdoor furniture remained.
He then walked toward the house, showing a small portion that looked to be made of stone or brick still standing, while the rest was almost completely destroyed, with some of the basic structure still there.
Lake's latest update comes only days after she bid farewell to her "dream home," calling it her and husband Ross Burningham's "heaven on earth. The place where we planned to grow old together."
She also shared a video taken as they left home before the fire came through, saying that she was "praying" for the neighborhood homes to survive.
Looking back on the experience, she stated, "Grateful to have made it out alive and uninjured...No doubt had we stayed, we would not have survived."
Lake went on to thank the firefighters and first responders, as well as everyone sharing well wishes, hoping everyone stays safe.
