Reese Witherspoon is the latest Vogue cover star, and she features with her lookalikes: mother, Betty, and her daughter, Ava, in an intergenerational family shoot.

The trio are pictured together in the new February issue of Vogue, wearing matching hairstyles – slicked back blonde ponytails – and orange-red lipstick, which only highlights the family resemblance.

Ava, 19, and Reese, 42, stand either side of Betty, 70, in the image, which was shared on Vogue‘s Instagram account last Friday.

The Legally Blonde actress gave birth to Ava, her daughter with now-ex husband Ryan Phillippe, when she was 23, just one year before her starring role as Elle Woods.

Reese’s mother, Betty, is a former labor-and-delivery nurse at Vanderbilt hospital in Nashville.

Reese told Vogue how she remembers going to work with her mother and watching Betty look after ‘seventeen babies at once’.

“There would usually be two women, and they’d be doing all the diapering, all the feeding—everything, all at once,” she said.

“And the crying of the babies! The noise! She said she didn’t even hear it. I remember being so in awe of my mom.

“She always had a positive attitude, always laughing, always telling a joke, and she always had a billion friends at work. She just loved the women she worked with.”

Reese isn’t the only celebrity to star in an intergenerational magazine shoot recently.

Last month, Jada Pinkett-Smith, together with her daughter, Willow Smith, and her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris, starred on the first digital cover of Harper’s Bazaar.
