Ree Drummond’s Daughter Alex Shares Pregnancy Updates from Cravings to Feeling Baby Move for the First Time

"If you're out there and you're in the first trimester, just know it gets better," she says in a video on her Instagram Stories

Ree Drummond’s daughter Alex is giving an update on her pregnancy journey.

The 26-year-old opened up about her experiences during her second trimester in a set of videos shared to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, July 23.

In one of the videos, Alex records herself doing her "pregnancy ritual" of pouring lemonade into a tall glass of ice. She says that indulges in the sweet treat every afternoon around "4 or 5 p.m.," and encourages other pregnant people to do the same.

Then the Food Network star's daughter begins to share some pregnancy updates, which included getting her appetite back, developing a closer relationship with her dog George and feeling her baby move for the first time.

Referencing her Trader Joe's haul videos with her husband Mauricio Scott from earlier that day, she said, "As you can tell by my haul, my appetite is finally back."

Alex says that she has been feeling hungrier and has reached the stage in her pregnancy where she needs to increase her daily caloric intake. "I told Mauricio that I can officially say I'm eating for two now," she shares.

Her pup joins her for her second video, during which she tells the camera, "I'm just, like, more obsessed with this dog than I've ever been for some reason. So we'll see how that lasts when the baby comes," before noting that her pet is "gonna be the best brother."

Alex later says that she recently felt her baby move and it has been continuing to happen. "At first I was like, is that just gas or digestion? But the more I felt it, the more I was like, okay, that's definitely something different going on down there."

Staying positive, Alex says that her second trimester "has been the best," sharing that she is about 17 weeks along and things have recently been "a breath of fresh air."

"I've been feeling so much better, been feeling so much more productive. Been working on nursery registry, all the things, all the like, fun, exciting things, because it feels so much more real now like it's really happening," she shares.

Leaving her viewers with a final note of encouragement, she concludes, "If you're out there and you're in the first trimester, just know it gets better."

The couple announced their pregnancy on Instagram in June, writing in the caption, "We can’t wait to meet you, little one.”

This will be the first grandchild for the Pioneer Woman star, who has five children: Alex; Paige, 24; Bryce, 21; Todd, 20; and Jamar, 21.
