Yahoo Lifestyle Ree Drummond’s Daughter Alex Shares Moment of Pure ‘Chaos’ as a New Mom
Ree Drummond's daughter Alex is still adjusting to life as a new mom, and she's taking fans along with her.
In a series of recent uploads to her Instagram Story and later archived by The Pioneer Woman blog, Ree's eldest of two daughters shared several new pictures of her two-month-old daughter, Sofia.
"I'd like to title the following series 'the many faces of Sofia Marie,'" she quipped in the accompanying text.
The subsequent slides captured all sorts of emotion from the newborn, including an adorable deadpan stare and some giggles, which eventually turned to tears, relieved by a quick projectile of vomit across mom's shoulder.
"I had to capture this chaos," Alex, 27, further joked, proving the apple doesn't fall all too far from the tree as her mom, Ree, also has the ability to turn any moment into a laughable one.
The Food Network Star recently revealed that sometimes when Alex sends her a photo of the newborn, no matter what it is—a smiley photo, one of Sofia's outbursts or her grimacing with boredom—Ree replies in such a way that could only be described as "chaotic good."
"Sometimes when Alex sends me a cute, funny pic of Sofia..." the 56-year-old Food Network star began in her series of Feb. 20 Instagram Story posts. "I zoom in and send it back to her," she concluded, adding an example of her finest work.

"Then I do it again," she revealed on the next slide, sharing yet another even more zoomed-in photo of the infant. "Then I make it my wallpaper," Ree concluded with a screenshot of the same photo set as the lock screen on her iPhone.
While we may never know what Alex uses as her screensaver, "chaos"-filled images of her newborn certainly can't be crossed off the list—not if she's anything like her doting mom!
Along with Alex, Ree also shares three other biological children— daughter Paige, sons Bryce and Todd–and one adopted son, Jamar, with her husband of nearly 29 years, Ladd.
