Princess Diana snubbed in new Prince Charles doco
A rare glimpse inside the life of the royals has been served up to celebrate Prince Charles’ upcoming 70th birthday.
But while thousands tuned in to the new doco, ‘Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70′, in the UK last night, fans have spotted one member of the family has been ignored.
It seems Prince William and Prince Harry’s late mother Diana doesn’t feature in the candid special, despite the fact she was married to Charles for 15 years.
Princess Diana was snubbed
According to the Express, there’s not one single mention of her name in the hour long show made by the BBC.
The shock snub is strange, as Wills and Harry both give in-depth interviews during the TV special, as does his wife, Camilla — the Duchess of Cornwall.
Charles’ milestone birthday takes place on Wednesday 14th November and he gave permission for film-maker John Bridcut to follow him and his family around for the 12 months leading up to it.
Fans still love #Charlesat70 special
Despite being missed out from the landmark doco, fans still seemed to love the show.
Charles is so unappreciated, genuinely. He’s such a warm and funny man. I also fully support a king who wants to focus on the environment🌏🌳💓 #CharlesAt70

We always talk about Diana’s profound effect on her boys. It is utterly equalled by their father. ❤️ #CharlesAt70

Harry’s request
In the same documentary, Prince Harry revealed why he asked his dad to walk Megan Markle down the aisle on their wedding day in May.
“I asked him to and I think he knew it was coming and he immediately said, ‘Yes, of course, I’ll do whatever Meghan needs and I’m here to support you’,” the 34-year-old revealed.
During the ceremony at St George’s Chapel, Harry — who is expecting his first child with the former actress — could be heard saying, “thank you pa”, as his father handed over the bride.
Just weeks before the palace announced that Meghan’s own dad, Thomas Markle, couldn’t do the special job because of a heart attack.
However the 74-year-old was embroiled in scandal in the weeks leading up to their big day, in what was believed to be a profit-making scheme to cash in on her royal status.
