Princess Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have announced the name of their baby daughter, Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi.

The news comes 13 days after the child's birth on 18 September 2021 at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, weighing 6 pounds and 2 ounces.

The couple said in a joint statement today:

"We are delighted to share that we have named our daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi."

"We are all doing well and Wolfie [Mapelli Mozzi's first child, from a previous relationship] is the best big brother to Sienna."

The couple also shared the news Twitter, via Princess Beatrice's official account, and on The Royal Family's official Instagram account. An image depicting baby Sienna's footprints were also shared with the public via the social media platforms.

According to Baby Centre, the name Sienna is a girl's name of Latin origin. It comes from the Italian city of Siena, which gave its name to a reddish shade of brown.

Other famous Sienna's include Made in Chelsea's Mille Macintosh's daughter and actress Sienna Miller.

The royal baby is the Queen's 12th great-grandchild and is currently 11th in line to the throne.

On Sunday the parents announced that their daughter will be given the Italian title Nobile Donna, which translates as Noble Woman.

Sienna will not be given a royal title like her cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, because only the Queen's children and grandchildren through the male line are awarded Prince and Princess titles.

Instead, the baby takes her title from her dad's side of the family. Her father, whose official title is Count, is a descendant of the Italian nobility who ruled the country before it became a republic in 1946.

After getting engaged during a holiday in Italy, the 33-year-old married property developer Mapelli Mozzi, 37, in July 2020 after having to postpone their wedding because of coronavirus restrictions.

Beatrice's parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, were good friends with Mozzi's step-father Christopher Shale, a British political operative who died at Glastonbury festival in 2011. Beatrice and her younger sister Eugenie attended the funeral with their parents.

It's not known when exactly their relationship started but the couple are said to have began seeing each other after meeting again at Princess Eugenie's wedding to Jack Brooksbank on 12 October 2018.

In February, the couple gave birth to her son August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, the name Philip being a tribute to her late grandfather the Duke of Edinburgh.
