Prince Philip to 'avoid' Princess Eugenie's wedding because of Fergie

They’re rumoured to have had a tumultuous relationship in the past and now Prince Philip and Fergie’s rift is said to be causing major drama in the royal family yet again.

Prince Philip, who is the grandfather of Princess Eugenie, is apparently considering snubbing his granddaughter’s wedding day because he doesn’t want to bump into Eugenie’s mum, Sarah Ferguson.

“He does what he wants,” a royal insider told People magazine.’

“He made a supreme effort for Harry. I would be very surprised if he did go, because he is so estranged from Fergie.

“I think he will decide at the 99th hour.”

Princess Eugenie is due to marry Jack Brooksbank on October 12th in a lavish ceremony at Windsor Castle.

The venue is of course the same one where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot just two months ago.

Fergie was invited to the chapel part of the ceremony and the royal reception afterwards.

However, she was snubbed from the intimate reception, which is said to have gone on late into the night.

It’s been claimed that Prince Harry was adamant his aunt should be at his nuptials, despite his brother, Prince William, leaving her off his guest list entirely when he married Kate Middleton in 2011.
Fergie and Prince Andrew famously wed in a lavish ceremony in 1986 but divorced in 1996.

The pair still remain firm friends and still even live together at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.

Prince Philip is said to be Fergie’s least biggest fan in the family and could never forgive her for being photographed having her toes sucked by financial advisor, John Bryan, before her divorce from Prince Andrew was officially finalised.

“He has held a grudge against her for a long, long time and normally refuses to even be in the same room as her,” a source told The Express.
