"From a local California organisation that helps families transition out of homelessness, to two of our U.K. patronages: one that supports animal and community welfare, and the other, a memorial fund for a cherished friend that helps to educate children and fight poverty in Uganda, we have honoured their work on behalf of all of us."

A spokesperson for the couple said the photo was taken by Meghan’s mum, Doria Ragland.

"The original photo of the family was taken at their home earlier this month by The Duchess's mother,” they said.

"The small Christmas tree, including the homemade ornaments and other decorations, were selected by Archie, and the tree will be replanted after the holidays."

In a trailer for the podcast, Meghan asks Harry to say ‘Archewell Audio’ because she’s a fan of his pronuciation.

“No, say it, cos I think it sounds really nice in your accent,” she implores.

After he says it, she replies, “I mean...”

They then introduce themselves as Harry and Meghan, before explaining they wanted to start the podcast because they love hearing people’s stories.

“No matter what the story, they usually offer you an understanding of where someone else is coming from,” Meghan says.

“And at the same time, remind you in some way of a story about yourself.”

Harry adds that the project’s goal is to amplify otherwise unheard voices.

“And that’s what this project is all about. To bring forward different perspectives and voices that perhaps you haven’t heard before, and find our common ground.”

Meghan said kindness and compassion would underlie everything they do with Archewell Audio, adding that it’s something they saw throughout 2020.

The couple confirmed a “holiday special” in the trailer before breaking out into a festive tune together.

The clip ends with Meghan laughing as she says: “He has a podcast voice.”
