'Oh dear': Harry and Meghan's awkward foundation blunder

In the space of a few short months, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have quit their roles as senior members of the royal family, moved across the world to settle in LA and unveiled their new non-profit organisation, Archewell.

However it seems like one important thing may have slipped through the cracks in all of their planning and it’s now been pointed out on Twitter by some eagle-eyed royal watchers.

It appears that the domain name for the couple’s new organisation has already been taken online or has been hacked, with archewellfoundation.com redirecting internet users to Kanye West's Gold Digger video on YouTube.

“Why is it that when I google http://archewellfoundation.com it connects me to a Kanye West YouTube video Gold Digger?” one person wrote online.

“Oh dear. When you type in http://Archewellfoundation.com this comes up. Sussex Squad employee, what's going on!!” another person Tweeted.

Others were angry, slamming internet trolls for the taking the domain name and populating with the song.

It comes just days after the couple were slammed online for announcing their new Archewell foundation, with some saying it was the ‘worst possible timing’ due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Despite the fact the couple said they would share more details "when the time is right", trolls didn’t take long to savage the couple online.

Royal biographer Phil Dampier slammed the announcement, telling the Daily Mail it's "appalling timing" with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson being moved to intensive care with coronavirus.

"It’s appalling timing, I would say. It was the worst possible timing," said Dampier.

"If I were Harry and Meghan I would have laid low until this situation [coronavirus] was over.

"People everywhere are really concerned with dealing with this and it does not look good, however good the cause is."
